I just came across this photo in my archives and think it is just awesome. This sums up the Rogue Angels......plus it made me again thankful April is still with us!

Big Bows

Spey casting into the river run, I worked the inside and outer edge of the seams as far as I could wade and cast...with the water flowing high and fast, it was a difficult task of covering water. After hooking into plenty of dinks, many 20" trout, and one 24" bow, we scooted the boat out to the far seam and I spey casted off the bow of the boat hooking into this piggie that measured a bit over 27' with a helluva girth.

These are the best photos I have seen in a long time! Is it more bad ass that the young girl is spey fishing, catching a healthy chromer, rocking the hip waders or grew up on this amazing river??? I can't decide.....she rocks! And so does Rogue Angel Kateri, helluva guide....thanks for the eye candy!

[Rogue Angels] First Timers with the Fly Rod

I floated Jean and her husband, a pilot, down a remote stream in Alaska and taught them how to fly fish for rainbows on this plentiful stretch...



I would say she did extremely well!
And lucky for us the weather cooperated, as I have never seen this mountain range all at once in the same day! Gorgeous sunshine...I can't believe I am in Alaska...somebody pinch me I must be dreaming... 4 months into this, another to go, and I am still in love....
