How Useful is WashingtonFlyFishing.com?

Just a poll:

How often do you use WashingtonFlyFishing.com for research on rivers, articles, flies, destinations, gear recommendations?

Is it your first resource when researching your fishing trip?

Do you use other online resources to find out information about local waters?

What could be improved about the site?

How useful or valuable is it to you and your fishing experience?

How effective is it for networking as a part social networking site? Do you make a lot of friends that you eventually meet in person through the site, do you have "online friends" that you only email/message through the site or both?

Do you ever go to Washington Fly Fishing events?

Discuss amoungst yourselves. Please add a comment if you have time.

  1. Before I met Steelie Mike, I only knew of him through pictures and legends on WFF, now that I actually know him, I can still only call him, Steelie Mike. The same goes for Zen Piscator.

  4. I think its a great site. I have joined, yet to make a post though. Basically i just stalk Steelie Mike through it. LOL. Seriously, its a fantastic resource for those flyfishing in Wa. Its also a great resource for buying anything in the angling field second hand. I almost bought a raft from a dude listed through the site.

  6. Haha, Millsy I LOVE that story. I have heard that same story from a few of my guy fly fishing friends. It is very interesting!

At least meeting people through WashingtonFlyfishing.com sounds cooler to say than "AOL chat room for Cat Fancy Lovers"

  9. I busted up laughing at work the other night reading some of these comments. There is a lot of good and bad info on the forums and WFF is one of the better ones. It also helps it has the best collection of fish porn in the interwebs.
