Carpon Fishing III

It's becoming a tradition. And like anything steeped, there's gotta be some color. I think our ratio over the last few years is well, I can't even talk about it....carpon fishing is tough stuff.
But remember this picture from last year?
Carpon Fishing with Sarah

We were missing this key ingredient, Rogue Angel Sarah. FunkJohnson no less.
Second missing ingredient, Steelie Mike. That's like making fried rice without the rice. We tried anyway.

Definitely a missing ingredient here.

A couple fresh ingredients tho:

Rogue Angel Whit singin' it up in the rain. Jay's lost.

Someone's phone rang. Mom's calling and the hurricane is heading right for us. Somewhere a TV has blipped over to Kodachrome colored lines and is flashing emergency warning signals....like go hide in the bathroom. We're gonna Lieutenant Dan this storm and fish through it. There are carp everywhere, I've seen a dozen, Chou Dawg saw one, and Rogue Angel Dawn's seen thirty....at least that's how I remember it, And we've only been on the water ten minutes. No one's going anywhere as the wind picks up and waves splash over the bow. Our third boat of lunatics shows up exactly now and we're shifting into the trees. Where it's safe. Really. It's safe in aluminum boats during thunderstorms if you all congregate together in the trees and cast with your graphite rods.

A Chou Dog and k8r sandwich (squashed between two boats.
)

The weather will be better next year, I'm sure.

  1. Haha "like making fried rice without the rice". Maybe next year I can come and it will be like makin' corn with parmesean and chipotle mayonaise!
