The Flavors of New Orleans

Two guests arrived in King Salmon, Alaska this past season full of excitement to take a break from their hectic lives and the recent hurricane. They both live in the heart of New Orleans and together they made us promise to meet them so they could host us in the city they love so much.  I learned about the history of New Orleans, the life of someone in the aftermath of a hurricane, the hospitality of people who live for socializing and eating spectacular food and what it's like to honestly be in love with a city...a city.  We enjoyed what was some of the most delightful culinary experiences I've ever had. Oysters, Shrimp, Crab served in traditional cajun styles (and plenty of them) and just a splash of vegetable....six asparagus. It's all about the seafood and spice here, and I love it.   But what I have really come to love are the people....oh and Redfish, of course.
