Trout mag is Trout Unlimited's very well done publication shipped to its members only a few times a year. This winter issue had an article about my friend, boss, and mentor, Nanci Morris-Lyon, that highlighted her dedication to Bristol Bay written by Nelli Williams. Her honest perspective on a woman who has done so much for the community in Bristol Bay was refreshing and I was happy to see a couple quotes from yours truly! I loved the photos by Russ Schnitzer too.
As I flipped through the pages, I stumbled upon an unexpected surprise, "On the Doorstep" by Erin Block. As you know, I'm a big fan of Erin's writing, but this story was absolutely remarkable. Such a well written piece on the emergence of winter.
